Dear Valley View Community,
As we head into the final week of school, I want to thank our entire Valley View community for the love, support, and partnership you bring to our school each day. Our diversity, culture, inclusion, and sense of belonging are what make Valley View so special.
A special thank you to our PTA for creating so many memorable experiences for our students and families throughout the year. After five wonderful years, I will truly miss Valley View and this incredible community.
Have a great last week of school and a fun, restful summer!
Andrea Withers
Parents will receive the following information about "Right at School", an after school fee-based program that will be housed at Valley View in collaboration with Kids Club:
We’re excited to officially join the Pleasanton community and can’t wait to bring Right At School’s engaging before school, after school, and enrichment programs to your families!
Registration is now open! We invite you to follow the link below to register your child and learn more about what Right At School has to offer, including homework help, hands-on activities, fitness, games, and plenty of fun each day.
We look forward to meeting your family soon!
There are no extra yearbooks available at school to purchase. However you are able to order one at the this link.
Please check lost and found. All items will be donated at the end of the year.
Thank you to all Valley View DLI staff, district staff, and parents who have contributed to this three-year project! We will continue to review this draft with our Valley View community in the upcoming school year.
Our crossing guard recently reported that he was nearly struck by a car that failed to stop while he was still in the crosswalk. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened.
Please remember to follow all traffic laws and never drive through a crosswalk until the crossing guard has safely returned to the sidewalk.
Thank you for helping keep our students and staff safe.
We celebrated our amazing 5th-grade DLI students! We are so proud of their hard work toward mastering bilingualism, biliteracy, and academic excellence in both languages.
A special thank you to Esperanza and Winter for putting this event together, and a massive shoutout to our incredible parent volunteers for helping out and treating the students to some delicious nachos!
We appreciate PUSD for creating our new garden space! Thank you to the PTA, Dr. Vegetable, and parents for donating to our garden. Our students are enjoying it so much!
We still need Event Chairs for next year!
Our PTA programs and events are part of what makes Valley View such a special community, and they happen because parents and caregivers like you volunteer their time and talents. We are currently looking for Event Chairs (also called Committee Leads) for several programs next year. Identifying volunteer leaders early helps ensure these programs have the time and support needed to be successful. No experience is necessary— the PTA board will provide support along the way.
Event Committee Leads play an important role in bringing PTA programs and events to life. Committee Leads help turn ideas into reality, build connections among families, and create memorable experiences for our students.
Much of the planning and coordination can be done from home as you coordinate volunteers, communicate with committee members, and help keep planning on track. Most importantly, you don't have to do it alone—the PTA Board and community volunteers are here to support you every step of the way.
Whether you're a longtime volunteer or getting involved for the first time, we'd love to have you on the team.
Fall Committee Leads Needed:
- Book Club (Fall and Spring 2026-7)
- Meet and Eats/ Community Gatherings (Fall and Spring 2026-7)
- Spanish Book Fair (Fall 2026)
- Canned Food Drive (November 2026)
- Movie Night (September 2026) (1 Co-chair needed)
If you are interested, please contact us at president@vvespta.org and we will be in touch soon!
PPIE is proud to announce a record-breaking $900,000 investment in support of Pleasanton students for the coming school year.
Thanks to the incredible support of our families, community, business partners, and sponsors, we are able to expand funding in the areas we know make a difference — including libraries, mental health and wellness, Outdoor Education, and student and educator grants.
This is the largest donation in PPIE history, and we are incredibly proud to continue investing in programs and opportunities that positively impact students across all Pleasanton schools. Thank you for helping make this possible.
