Parking Update at Valley View
As our staff continues to grow at Valley View, we are making changes to our parking lot to support our team to be able to park at their place of work. We will be adding 20 additional "staff" parking spaces by expanding the number of designated staff spots on campus in the front lot.
Additionally, we will be numbering the spaces on Monday-Wednesday morning, before school. Numbered spots will be assigned to staff only and should not be used for before-school activities, student drop-off, or pick-up. Each staff member will have their own parking spot.
As this limits the number of available spots for families to park, please consider the following options:
Walk or ride bikes/scooters to school with your child
Drop your child off at the walking school bus locations
Carpool for drop off and pick up
Consider using the "Mavis Gate" at the back of the school
Arrive at least 15 min before the start of school for drop off
Valley View neighbors request the following:
Do not block driveways, even for a short time
Do not park in red zones, even for a short time
Please note that police have been notified and will be called again if this occurs.

Absences due to illness and medical appointments are considered excused absences as long as the school receives a phone call from a parent or guardian clearing the absence within 72 hours of the occurrence.
All other absences are considered unexcused, per state law, even if a parent calls to report their student’s absence.
Any tardy over 30 minutes, except for medical reasons, is also unexcused.

When kids are mentally healthy, they can think clearly, pay better attention, and learn new skills. That’s why we have partnered with Daybreak Health, a school-based mental health company, to provide teletherapy to our students. Students are matched with qualified clinicians who can help them with issues such anxiety, depression, attention & focus, relationships, stress, and more.
You can submit a Care Request here for your child. The teletherapy program lasts 12-24 weeks and appointments are available Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm. Therapy session content will remain confidential.
For younger students (ages 5-9) Daybreak offers a family therapy program where you attend the sessions with your child. For older students (ages 10+) Daybreak offers a 1:1 program where your child meets individually with a clinician.
