IMPORTANT PARENT/GUARDIAN SURVEY:
Please set aside some time (about 30 minutes) to complete the Valley View California School Parent Survey (CSPS) by October 31st. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps guide our school’s goals and priorities.
I review the survey results with our School Site Council, analyze the data from each question, and read every comment carefully. Your input truly shapes the direction of our school and supports our continuous improvement efforts.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and help us make Valley View the best it can be for all students!

Tutoring Opportunity
The AVHS No Child Left Behind Club is offering free one-on-one online tutoring for elementary and middle school students! Each student will be paired with a dedicated high school tutor who can provide support with homework and curriculum in subjects such as English, math, and science.
Families can fill out the form below to sign up their student for online tutoring. Please complete one form per student if registering multiple children. Once submitted, the club will promptly pair each student with a tutor and send a confirmation email.
Halloween Parade
We are excited to have our annual Halloween Parade this Friday. If you do not want your child to participate please let your teacher know. They will do a fall themed activity in the library.
Our Health Office provides a change of clothing for students when needed during the school day. We are currently in need of underwear (all sizes) and easy-on pants or shorts (such as those with elastic waists). If you are able to donate these items, we would be very grateful.
Additional Special Board Meetings are scheduled for October 30 and November 6 (all beginning at 5:00 p.m.), with further discussion also possible at the Regular Board Meeting on October 23 (6:00 p.m.). All meeting details, participation information, and budget resources (including updated FAQs and the podcast shared last week) are available on the Budget Engagement webpage.
Dear Families,
We’re excited to share some wonderful news from this year’s Reflections Art Program!
We had over 30 inspiring entries for the Reflections Art Program across Visual Arts, Literature, Music, Dance, and Film! Our students have truly expressed themselves with creativity and heart.
We’re thrilled to invite you to our school's first Reflections Awards Reception! To honor all our young artists and celebrate the winners in each category.
Please mark your calendars.

Art Room – Room 12
Our judges visited last week, and were so impressed by the art and voice of our young students. We can’t wait to announce the winners! There will be cookies to enjoy as we cheer on every participant and recognize the incredible talent in our community.
Parents and students please join us in showing our young artists that their voices, visions, and creativity matter.
Warmly,
Delzin Choksey & Irma Grant
