Students are continuing to use wipes in our toilets, which clog our pipes and cause sewage overflows. Wipes are NOT flushable in our toilets, even if the package says they are flushable and even if your child flushed them at home without any problems. Flushable wipes have been removed from our pipes several times over the past few years.
The TK/K playground opened this week! The kids are loving it! There is one section of turf being redone and that portion of the playground is set to open October 13th.
Please remind your child to keep all toys, including dolls, stuffed animals, action figures, balls, and games, at home.
In Pleasanton Unified, our staff raise awareness about bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion for all students. When students feel a sense of belonging and safety at school, they are more engaged and successful as learners.
Elementary Sites: Counselors and teachers will lead bullying prevention lessons through the Second Step curriculum, highlighting the “3 R’s” to stop bullying: Recognize, Report, Refuse. Elementary Wellness Coaches will provide classroom presentations about the Social Dimension of Wellness, emphasizing Friendship, Teamwork, Inclusion, Kindness, and being an Upstander.
Together, we are building a culture of care, connection, and respect across all schools.
Join us at the Fall Festival on Friday, October 24th - and consider volunteering! Just 1 hour of your time helps create these extra-special moments in our students' lives.
From Our PTA Fun Run Committee
A Heartfelt THANK YOU to Our Fun Run Heroes/Volunteers!
What an incredible event! The Fun Run's success is a testament to the amazing volunteers, teachers, and staff who make Valley View truly special.
To Our 150+ Volunteers - You Are the Magic!
It takes over 150 volunteers to bring the Fun Run to life, and without you, all the planning and preparation would mean nothing. YOU made it happen:
Course Volunteers: You transformed our school into a celebration! Your energy and enthusiasm made every lap count.
Classroom Volunteers: You organized the beautiful chaos, decked out our students in spirit wear, and kept everyone healthy and hydrated. You were the calm in the storm!
Teachers & Staff: Your classroom promotion and Mustang spirit kept the excitement building all month long. Thank you for championing this effort!
Why It Matters
The Fun Run is the PTA's largest fundraiser, directly supporting the programs and events that make our Valley View community extraordinary. This year, we raised $77,500 and counting toward our blacktop shade structure and essential PTA programs!
From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU for making this year's Fun Run LEGENDARY!
Go Mustangs!
