I do provide some event PD on professional development days and during the summer, including Google Workspace reviews and enrichment, Canvas training, EE requirements, Design Thinking and Innovation, Instructional Best Practices, Feedback, etc. However, the focus of my coaching has always been on personalized, job-embedded staff development as I strive to meet the needs individual teachers, departments, administrators, and students.
I also try to model my love of learning and desire to try and create new things by working side-by-side with my colleagues. I take on challenges that I don't know if I will be able to execute. I try new things and sometimes fail, but continue with several iterations, modeling innovation and grit. I prefer for colleagues to see me as a "lead learner" rather than someone who has all the answers.
