Spring 2026

This course examines the paths LGBTQ+ youth navigate in society, exploring such questions as: What challenges do LGBTQ youth encounter? How do they cope, survive, find understanding & celebrate themselves amidst marginalization and oppression? How do LGBTQ experiences vary across differences such as race, ethnicity, class, religion, gender and expression? How can we as a community be in solidarity with queer and trans youth and join young people in creating change? We’ll join with a local organization offering resources and support to queer, trans and non-binary youth. Students can select fully-remote and/or in-person community-based learning options.
