DREAM is offering a drop-in session for Scholars offered Trainee slots. You can attend if you:

• Have questions about the program/financial support before you accept your Trainee position

• Want to have a discussion about DREAM before you accept your Trainee position

• Want to say hi!

1:1 Intro Meeting

Please schedule the meeting when you complete the accept/decline form. 

DREAM Trainees will have a 1:1 meeting with the DREAM Program Coordinator, Cassandra Ramirez, the week of 4/10. Cassandra is excited to virtually sit down with each of you to:

• Get to know each other 

• Go over DREAM Trainee information in a conversational setting. 

• Get an idea about the research environment that would work best for you

• Chat about summer programming 

• Answer all your questions. 

The research environment section is designed to help us understand your preferences on the topics below*. 

• Skills and techniques do you want to learn

• Research experiences appeal to you

• The type of supervision do you want 

  • High, medium, or low

  • highly supportive and communicative, or more autonomy

• Type of schedule do you need - flexible or Scheduled (ex: 10-4 Mondays and Wed.)

*If you already covered these topics in your URISE interview: Cassandra will check in to see if you have any new or updated thoughts.
