Induction Financial Support
Please see the Financial Support page for information on Immersion and Academic Year Financial Support
Induction Financial Support
All Trainees will receive a one-time stipend of $1,000 for participating in Onboarding (7/11 & 7/13) and Induction (7/18-8/1)
Trainees who choose hourly wages for the rest of their DREAM financial support will ALSO be getting the one-time stipend
CIMR will be processing the stipend by 7/31 (hopefully sooner)
Stipends and Financial Aid
This stipend will count as Financial Aid.
If you are taking Summer Classes (2023), the stipend will count toward your 2022-2023 financial aid
If you are NOT taking Summer Classes (2023), the stipend will count towards your 2023-2024 financial aid
You will see changes to your F/A package in late July
Since your F/A can’t be more than your estimated cost of attendance you may need to submit a cost of attendance increase or see some changes to your financial aid. More information is on the F/A and Financial Support page.
Why is Induction Financial Support separate and Different?
Gives Trainees more time to make an informed decision on the type of financial support (stipends or hourly wages)
During Onboarding and Induction Trainees are still getting settled in their lab and the workshops. Especially since OHSU OVV is taking longer than we'd preferred.
For Hourly Wage Trainees, less RLC hours would impact the amount of your August paycheck
If Trainees were on hourly wages for Induction, their first substantial paycheck would be 8/31
