SUPERVISORS OF SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS: Network with other supervisors to discuss issues unique to speech-language programs, students with speech-language disorders, and speech-language professionals with a focus on preparing and retaining SLPs in school-based settings. All administrators and supervisors actively engaged in supporting speech-language pathologists are welcome.
Each session will take place from 12:00PM to 1:30PM

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS: As part of this learning community, we will discuss advocacy strategies to facilitate meaningful change to attract and retain school-based SLPs, review the role of assessment in building and sustaining manageable caseloads, and explore service delivery options. Join us for the opportunity to connect with other SLPs to learn how to improve work satisfaction while maintaining optimum outcomes for our students.
Each session will take place from 4:00PM - 5:30PM.

October 16, 2024: Creative Strategies for Sustaining School-Based Speech-Language Pathologists
January 15, 2025: Building and Sustaining Manageable Caseloads
April 23, 2025: Considerations for Service Delivery Models
This training will address utilizing IDEA assessment and eligibility criteria to impact caseload. Topics will consist of: Factors that contribute to elevated caseloads, IDEA requirements for evaluation, eligibility, exclusionary criteria, adverse educational impact, specially designed instruction, and evidence-based assessment.
