Equip yourself with practical strategies to avoid, address, and manage emotional dysregulation. Dr. Anne Linnehan will provide an account of emotions and emotional behavior using current research in neuroscience and behavior analysis. She will distinguish between emotions and emotional behavior as products of our experiences and provide educators with the tools to analyze situations that lead to dysregulation as well as proactive strategies to manage and avoid these episodes. By examining emotions as a result of their effects, educators will learn why behavior, even undesirable behavior, is rational and to identify social-emotional repertoires that need to be established.
