Week beginning - Monday 15th December 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
In Year 6 this week, we have been completing our articles about the Windrush scandal and creating packs to support migrants to Paddock Wood, especially considering the different languages that may be spoken by new arrivals and how to help them fit in at an English school.
In maths, we have continued working with decimals, first dividing them by 10, 100 and 1000 and then multiplying and dividing them by other integers.
This week has made room for a lot of festive fun, including (but not limited to) the carols to parents and at the church, Christmas quizzes in classes and the annual Paddock Wood's Got Talent! Thank you to parents for all your support around both of the events.

Throughout this module, you have applied your thinking skills brilliantly to our inquiry. You have been a great role model in the classroom and are demonstrating a wide range of skills in your work. Well done — I am really impressed!

This week, year 6 have been writing newspaper articles about the Windrush scandal and, as always, Michael has shown dedication and focus. When writing, Michael is keen to complete his work, but very willing to receive feedback and make changes when necessary. This is an important skill that will serve him in his learning and personal development.
