Week beginning - Monday 8th December 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week Year 5 have been continuing their work on space and space exploration. We have been researching how the moon phases appear through the lunar cycle and historical facts about the Space Race.
Through reading, we have developed our knowledge of inference - using clues in the text to infer information and develop a deeper understanding.
For our maths lessons we have carried out subtraction involving mixed numbers, creating improper fractions to bridge across the whole.
Through our inquiry, we have been investigating cams and how their shape can vary the movement of an object. The classes made examples to explore this learning ready to implement them into space themed toys next week.
