This week Year 5 have been learning about lunar cycles and seasons, exploring how we have day and night and how the Earth, tilted on its axis, orbits the Sun.

We have been building pop up toys using cam mechanisms and given them a space twist for their final designs.

Within writing, we finished our biographies of Mae Jemison, exploring her early life, education and her landmark voyage in space.

In maths we have been adding mixed numbers and fractions - reviewing how to find equivalent fractions and converting mixed numbers.
