         Our expectation is that learners are Ready, Respectful and Safe at all times. This language will frame our conversations and will be consistently used in the classroom and the school. Being Ready, Respectful and Safe underpins Dumbarton Academy’s Vision and Values.

AIMS

The aims of Respect policy is to establish a clear and consistent approach to supporting learners, in order  to:

• Allow all learners the opportunity to achieve their full potential

• Ensure all learners are treated fairly and shown respect

• Help learners take responsibility for their behaviour

• Positively reinforce behavioural expectations

• Teach appropriate behaviour through positive interventions
