Marking Period 1: Glow
This assignment is an example of an informational chart. This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about body nutrients. The objective of this assignment was to find the Predominant Macromolecule and the Glycemic Index in certain foods. The components of this assignment were finding things about a topic then graphing them. To complete this assignment, first I have to find the Predominant Macromolecule, then I find the Glycemic Index, Lastly, Graph the answers I got.

Through completing this assignment, I learned the parts of the Spotted Lanternflies. This assignment taught me the observations we can see on a Lanternfly. I enjoyed this assignment because We were able to dissect an insect and write what we see. This assignment challenged me to think more than the surface level of what is being shown. This assignment represents certain physical aspects of a Lanternfly, which is an important theme in this course. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by describing the insect some more.
Marking Period 2: Grow
Through completing this assignment, I learned what glucose was and how the body can get glucose. This assignment taught me facts about glucose, when glucose is in the body, and the amount of glucose in your body can change throughout the day. I enjoyed this assignment because I was able to learn something new. This assignment challenged me because since it was a new topic I couldn't explain my reasoning for things well. This assignment represents the science of Glucose, which is an important theme in this course. I could improve in this assignment by explaining more.

This is an example of notes taken from a class discussion. This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about connections through the body systems. The objective of this assignment was to discuss with other body system groups and find any connections between the two. The components of this assignment were finding connections, body systems, and writing and understanding. This assignment was very easy and I fully understood the differences between many body systems.
Marking Period 3: Glow
This assignment is an example of a quiz. This assignment was completed as a part of out unit about DNA. The objective of this assignment was to use what you know from class in order to read and answer questions correctly. The components of the assignment were DNA bases, proteins, and DNA models. To complete this assignment, first I Read the question and labeled on the model, then I answered a few question. And finally drew two DNA models.
Marking Period 3: Grow
Through completing this assignment, I learned what glucose is. This assignment taught me how the body uses glucose, what can affect the levels of glucose, and how it affects the body. I enjoyed this assignment because it was interesting and I got to use graphs to answer questions. This assignment challenged me to explain work using a model shown. This assignment represents the science of Glucose, which is an important theme in this course. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by explaining my work better.
Marking Period 4: Grow
Through completing this assignment, I learned about sickle cells. This assignment taught me pedigrees, punnet squares, and transforming mRNA into protein. I enjoyed this assignment because we got to draw models and show what we learned. This assignment challenged me to think of ways to visually show sickle cells. This assignment represents sickle cell anemia, which is an important theme in this course. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by explaining more.

This assignment is an example of a forensic biology notebook. This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about Anna Garcia. The objective of this assignment was to find the cause and the reason for Anna Garcia's death. The components of this assignment were investigating, testing, and proving. To complete this assignment, first I understood who Anna Garcia was/ what we already know. Then I for DNA testing on things like blood, hair, finger prints in order to know what could be involved. And finally, I did scans, screenings, and autopsy on Anna Garcia's body, all to find what the cause of her death could have been.
