ACT, SAT, PSAT/NMQT Preparation provides students with test-taking skills needed for the PSAT/NMQT, SAT, and the ACT. In addition to those testing formats, the course covers general skills covered in the course are applicable to most test-taking situations and include optimal use of time, eliminating illogical answers, following directions, marking answer sheets, and for some students, handling test anxiety.

Additional Information: A maximum of 18 credits may be earned in this course and it may be taken for one credit during each semester in the 9th and 10th grades if the student will reach age 16 during that time or is in a Vocational Rehab OJT Program, 3 credits may be earned during each semester of 11th grade, and for 4 credits during each semester of 12th grade.

Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on training through worksite rotations. The program provides real-life work experience combined with training in employability and independent-living skills to help young people with significant disabilities make successful transitions to productive adult life. The Project SEARCH model involves an extensive period of skills training and career exploration, innovative adaptations, long-term job coaching, and continuous feedback from teachers, skills trainers, and employers.
