Please also note that students can not drop a required course unless there is a special circumstance that is approved through Academic Counseling after meeting with the student and their family
*Exceptions can be considered for students who transfer into OSA after the start of the semester or for students who have an extended illness or injury
**Requests for schedule changes will be prioritized based on the following:
1. Making sure a student is meeting graduation requirements
2. Making sure a student is in the correct course level
3. Correcting errors in the scheduling system
Remember to plan your schedule carefully and to seriously consider any changes before making requests. Keep the following guidelines in mind:
1. Required courses at OSA can not be replaced by college or online courses during the school year. If a student wants to take a college or online course in place of a required course, they must take it during the summer.
2. College courses can not conflict with OSA class times.
3. Schedule changes are most likely permanent. Once a schedule is altered, it may not be able to be undone.
4. Students are responsible for making up any work when they transfer into a course. Work will not be excused if a student enters late.
If you have any questions about your course load and/or graduation requirements, please feel free to get in touch with your grade level counselor. They can help you look over your schedule before you sign up for classes so you can choose courses that best fit your graduation and schedule needs.
