CCSD Exposure Control Plan - Category I Employees
The Clark County School District’s Exposure Control Plan requires that all employees with jobs listed below must be given the option to receive a Hepatitis B vaccination series. The District will pay for the costs associated with the Hepatitis B vaccines.
The following employees are Category 1 employees:
School Health Assistants
Specialized Procedures Nurse
School Nurse
Campus Security Monitor (CSM)
Transportation Aide - Special Education
School Police Officer
All staff at special schools for self-contained and incarcerated students (John F. Miller School, Miley Achievement Centers, Helen J. Stewart School, Variety School, and Correctional Facilities)
Teachers and support staff in the following self-contained classrooms:
Kids Integrated Delivery of Services (KIDS)
Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
Specialized Diversely Challenged (SDC)
Life Skills (LIF)
Foundations of Life Skills (FLS)
Emails will be sent to each category I employee with additional information and a Hepatitis B waiver form. Please make sure you are currently working in one of the identified Category I positions before you complete the Hepatitis B consent waiver. It is very important for the consent waiver to be completed whether you choose to receive the vaccine or not.
Upon completion of the waiver form, you will be contacted by Risk Management with further information on how to obtain the vaccinations. If you have not received an email with instructions, you may contact us at 702-799-6496 ext. 5692.
