Club Day

Club Day at New Rochelle High School is back! Traditionally held in the Rotunda located near the Whitney Young auditorium, Club Day was moved to the House 4 Bridge due to ongoing renovations. Freshmen rotated through the House 4 corridor with their social studies classes, exploring the wide range of clubs available, while club representatives encouraged students to sign up. Although some students walked by club tables in order to get to class, many others were able to witness the variety of clubs NRHS has to offer.
The club tables were set up in rows on each side of the hallway, all the way down to the House 4 entrance, with each table decorated to highlight the unique spirit of each club. Sign-up sheets, candy, and creative props filled the tables, charming students into learning more.
Joining clubs doesn't mean just adding new activities to your schedule; it's also a chance to explore new passions, meet new people, and become part of a community that you feel best suits your interests.
Dave Flores, a sophomore, even remarked:
“I wasn't too aware of when club day was going to take place, but when I first walked into House 4, I just saw so many stands of different clubs, and I think it's a great way for all students in the school to become a part of something. For me, I have sports after school, so it's a bit more difficult to participate in them, but if it wasn't for my sports, I would definitely join a couple of clubs.”
More quotes from students:
“Club day was very community-based. I saw a lot of people that I knew, and I wasn't aware of how many clubs they were in, so it opened my eyes. I tried to sign up for as much as possible, and many tables presented themselves very differently.”- Lupita
“I liked seeing how passionate everyone was about their clubs; it's made me realize there's something for everyone.”-Cassandra
“It was very nice seeing all the members of different clubs try and get people to join. It was interesting to see what people like and what some clubs are about.” - Linda
