Year 8 Living Faiths Trip
During Year 8 students are taken into Bristol where we visit a Mandir, a Gurdwara and a Church to provide each child with a rich experience of different faiths and cultures during their education at Norton Hill School, with the purpose of encouraging understanding, appreciation and tolerance of other beliefs.
Year 8 Celebrating Differences Day
As part of our on-going work on diversity we hold an off timetable day on Celebrating Differences. This enrichment day includes a variety of activities and workshops around the theme of celebrating difference and diversity. Students have a welcome talk from the charity SARI (Stand Against Racism and Inequality), and then participate in workshops such as African Drumming, Bollywood Dancing, Mandarin taster sessions, Mental Health Awareness, LGBTQ+, Human Rights, and Disability Awareness.
