'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is a comedy set in Athens and the nearby forest, and it is the first Shakespearean play pupils study at Norton Hill School.
Trips and clubs run by the English department take a range of different forms. The department has run theatre trips and other visits such as the 'transforming texts' visit to Harry Potter World. Authors and poets have also visited to run workshops. Internal clubs run by the department include the school newspaper and creative writing club.
