YEAR 7 ASSESSED PERFORMANCE

PRIVATE PEACEFUL is a full scheme of work, usually studied towards the end of Year 7. The lessons are all practical and based on pupil performance, line learning and assessed presentations in groups.

A group of Year 7 students perform a short extract from the play 'Coram Boy'. After only a short rehearsal period the students perform in front of the class, who go on to give feedback.

SCHOOL PRODUCTIONS

At Norton Hill School pupils are given the opportunity to participate in a vibrant and exciting programme of full mounted performances. In the Upper School pupils have the opportunity to participate in a fully mounted play or musical with full support of sound, lighting and musicians.

This performance takes place in February. In the Lower School pupils have the opportunity to participate in an abridged performance of a play or musical - again the performance is open to the public and performed in the school hall. This takes place in July of the school year.
