TRIPS AND CLUBS

Currently we run a compulsory trip with Year 7 to Chepstow Castle in Term 4. We also offer a GCSE day trip for Y10 to their Elizabethan England historic environment (in the past this has been sites like Montacute House, the Globe Theatre and the Maritime Museum in London). We also offer a GCSE residential trip to Berlin for Y11 students to support their study of the Cold War.

At Key Stage Three we also run a humanities club alongside the Geography department and the Philosophy and Belief department, where students are able to take part in projects focused on relevant topics. In the past we have done things like a cinema club, a wartime rationed banquet and battle roleplays. These students are also often involved in departmental assemblies, such as Remembrance Day assemblies.
