Norton Hill School, So You Think You Can Dance. The intention is to put students through many different rounds of dance styles to test their dance skills as well as their adaptability, learning speed, and stamina.
Dance is a wonderful way for pupils to express themselves, whilst developing fitness, stamina and co-ordination. Dance gives pupils opportunities to try different styles, to perform and to work as a team in a supportive and fun environment.
All pupils are able to register to take part in dance clubs. We generally have around 100 pupils on the club register, and offer different styles; Jazz, Street and Contemporary.
Pupils can audition to join three high-performance dance groups, and if successful they will become members of our Elite, Company and Dance Academy
All dance classes work towards the annual 'A Star Danced' Showcase in February/March. Over 300 parents, staff and pupils come to see the show, it has evolved as one of the most popular events in the school calendar.
