New for the 2024-2025 school year is the ability to sign up for elementary and middle school conferences with your student’s advisor, while you are in the Family jmc. Please log in to your Family jmc portal to sign up for a conference beginning on October 15th. You should schedule a conference with your student's advisor, special education teacher, and Title I teacher as needed. The student's advisor can be found in Family jmc on the menu under Academics -- Schedule.
Scheduled conference times will auto-save.
Families can see when your conferences are scheduled in your Family jmc portal at any time, so there is no confirmation when you book a conference.
You will receive a reminder email the day before your conference.

Classes will be celebrating their fall class party on Thursday, October 31.
Costumes are welcome on this day. Bring the costume to change into for the afternoon. No weapons (even fake) or face paint are permitted at school.

It is getting chilly. Please send a hat, gloves, and warm coat with your child to ensure they are comfortable in this colder weather. Keep in mind there is an AM, Noon, and PM recess.
Third, fourth, and fifth graders are very independent but are often the age group that forgets to bring these items consistently.

There is a new K-12 text number to communicate transportation changes. Please, text this number to indicate any last-minute changes, before or during school. Include student name(s) and transportation change. For example, John and Jane Doe will not ride bus #4 tomorrow morning.

Picture Retake Day with Jamie Lynn Photography is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th. Retake day is for those that were absent the first session (Sept. 17 & 18), or for those who want a retake.
National Fire Safety Week
National Fire Safety Week
We will plan to walk to the fire station during our assigned times on Friday, October 11th. We appreciate the firefighters educating our youth on an important topic.
Personalized Reading Plans
Personalized Reading Plans
During the week of October 7, please keep an eye on your email for a message from Mrs. Henely. Additionally, by Friday, a report containing your child's fall screening scores will be sent home in their backpack. If your child has not yet reached the grade level benchmark for reading proficiency, you will also receive a document detailing the intervention being implemented to improve their reading skills. Feel free to contact your child's classroom teacher if you have any further questions.
