We are so excited to welcome students back into the building! They bring so much joy to all of us!
We welcome families in for Back-to-School Conferences on Friday, Aug. 23, and Monday, Aug. 26. The first day of school is August 27th. Parents may enter the building at drop-off for first-day photos on Tuesday, August 27. Please park on side streets and enter door 3. Then starting on Wednesday, August 28th we ask that you say your goodbyes outside the school as only students will be able to enter unless you need to speak with office staff. This procedure helps ensure the safety of the building, instills independence and confidence in our students, and allows our teaching staff to focus on students. Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.
Safety is of the utmost importance. Again this school year, all staff, guests, teachers, substitutes, and visitors will wear an ID badge in the building. The elementary building has a secure entrance to ensure visitors go through the office first to sign in and obtain a pass.
A few other notes include, elementary school picture day will be on Tuesday, September 17th. A retake date will be scheduled and communicated later. More details will be sent home at a later date. Here is a link to the school supply list. Please let us know if you need assistance acquiring these supplies. Also, we are pleased to welcome new staff members to North Iowa CSD, including Ms. Jordan Lukes, Special Education Teacher; Mrs. Sara Ahlers, ELL/Spanish Teacher; Mr. Aaron Mathahs, Band & HS Choir Teacher; and Mrs. Cassidy Gelhaus, School Nurse.
We are looking forward to an amazing school year and "Linking Students with Success". Thank you for taking the time to read the entirety of this newsletter. A family newsletter will be sent approximately the first Tuesday of each month.

If you would like a response within 24 hours, please email. The staff tab on the website has contact information.
ATTENDANCE: All attendance must go through the office. If your child will be gone, tardy, or leaving early, please notify the Elementary Office. The office will inform the teachers.

I also want to share that if you send me, Tina Henely, an email you will likely get the following auto-response, "I have received your email. I check emails once per day, excluding weekends.
