Islamic Education

As an international educational institution, we recognize the importance of fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of the Islamic faith, its principles, and its rich cultural heritage. Islamic Studies at Nibras International School are designed to cultivate a holistic understanding of Islam, encompassing its spiritual, moral, and social dimensions. Our curriculum aims to nurture a profound connection to the faith and instill Islamic values, virtues, and ethics in our students. Through engaging and interactive lessons, our dedicated Islamic Studies faculty guides students on a journey of discovery, exploring the core principles of Islam and their practical applications in daily life. The curriculum emphasizes the teachings of the Quran, the life and example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Islamic history, and the contributions of Muslim scholars and civilizations. Islamic Studies classes at Nibras International School provide a platform for students to deepen their understanding of Islamic rituals, practices, and observances. Students learn about the pillars of Islam, the importance of prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage, and how these acts of worship shape their identity as Muslims. By immersing themselves in the study of Islamic teachings, students gain a profound appreciation for the wisdom and guidance offered by the faith.

The students explore in depth the diverse aspects of Islamic education that collectively represent the domains and core themes of the curriculum in an integrated and holistic manner such as: Divine Revelation (Quran and Hadith), Islamic Creed, Values and Manners of Islam, Islamic Rulings and their Higher Purposes, Life of the Prophet and Prominent Muslim Personalities, and National Identity and Contemporary Issues. Students are encouraged to take risks and experiment with different techniques, and concepts engaging in collaborative activities to discuss, share insights, and combine their ideas. Designing mind maps, linking the Islamic concepts to the real life problems and suggesting solutions, expecting the positive effects of Islamic values and negative effects of abandoning it. Creating cross curricular links to the other topics of Islam.
