"It was amazing to witness our High School Student Council actively participating in fundraising events and making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. The High School Student Council worked tirelessly during the month of October to create and organize activities that included the Pink Market, Pink salon, photo booth stations, games, and arts/ crafts sections for our School Community, to partake in during our 3-day fundraiser event.
Our students wore Pink in solidarity for Pink October, and the High School Student Council was able to raise over 12,000 Dhs and have this amount donated to Al Jalila Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to promoting medical research, education and treatment for cancer in the United Arab Emirates."
"It felt surreal to have our School’s name engraved on the wall of Al Jalila Foundation and also was a privilege to be recognized by Al Jalila Foundation as one of its key supporters of the Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. This was a remarkable testament to our student’s hard work and dedication.
Fundraising events, especially for important causes like Breast Cancer Awareness, serve multiple purposes. They not only raise funds that can make a difference in the lives of those affected by the disease but also create awareness and bring people together to support a common cause. By organizing these events, our High School student council members have played a vital role in spreading awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and treatment."
