English

English at Nibras International School goes beyond grammar and vocabulary. It is a holistic program that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and cultural literacy. Students engage with a diverse range of literature, exploring classic and contemporary works that broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of the human experience. The English program at NIS places emphasis on developing effective communication skills. Students are encouraged to express themselves articulately, engage in meaningful discussions, and deliver persuasive presentations. Through interactive activities, debates, and group projects, they cultivate the ability to collaborate, think critically, and analyze information. Being part of the English program at NIS means being part of a community that values the power of language and communication. Students are encouraged to embrace their individuality, express their thoughts and ideas, and develop their own unique voices. They become confident communicators who can navigate the complexities of the globalized world with ease.

Unleashing the Power of Words: A Literary Journey through Language and Literature

"Grade 12 students learned characterization and character analysis through an interesting Macbeth activity. They were assigned Macbeth characters and they each had to dress up like their assigned character and put up a performance as the character. Students worked together to enact scenes from the play and explore how the characters were built." Ms. Alice, Secondary English Teacher
