Greetings Families!

We are feeling the holiday buzz across campus! Students have been eager to share about the fun traditions you all are celebrating at home and we are enjoying the spirit of this time of year. A big thank you to our volunteers that have decorated all classroom doors and made some truly magical entry ways for our students. This is just one more element that stands Beck apart, our families willingness to partner with us to help build that special ambience.

We had 55 nominations for Beck's 23-24 Exemplar Educator! Thank you to all that shared an experience with a teacher that has been exemplary and worthy of your esteemed nomination. It is an honor for any teacher to be nominated for this distinction, it is a recognition that carries great weight in our profession and I thank you for lifting up these exemplary educators. We share with every teacher what their nomination said as a keepsake, so thank you for the time you took to write and submit a teacher nomination.

There are several dates coming up in January to take note of, please put them on your calendars.

Pre-K

We have been welcoming Lunch vistors for a few weeks. We ask that visitors sign up prior to arriving at school for lunch.

Visitors/Parents must sit at the tables on the Stage and may only have their child eating with them, no friends are permitted to join.

Thank you to everyone who purchased items for our Angel tree. We were able to help 10 of our Beck students this holiday season.

This month we are talking about our gifts. We are working on recognizing our talents and skills and how we can share those with others.

Student Fun Opportunities!

Hello, I am the Medlin Middle School Student Council Advisor and we have our annual Winter Carnival to support Summer Santa coming up soon. We want to invite you and your students to the community-wide event on the eighth of December from 6-9 p.m. at Medlin Middle School. It's free to enter. It costs $5 for a bounce house wristband and $1 per booth ticket or 25 tickets for $20. You can Pre-Purchase your tickets on School Cash to skip the lines at the event. All pre-Purchased tickets will be available at the Will Call table in the Medlin Cafeteria. There will be the normal concessions items, popcorn, cotton candy and hot chocolate available at the carnival. Please have families enter Medlin thru door #8 (cafeteria/gym entrance) We hope to see you there!
