Greetings Families!
I hope that you all have had a great winter holiday! The Bunches did not do much, we stayed home, hung out with family and had some much needed down time! Added bonus, I was able to finish two books I've had on my list!
The 2nd Semester goes by very quickly! We have some great fun coming up. I hope you will join us for Beckopoly on January 23rd from 5:30-7:30. It is an evening of student entrepreneurs creating items to sell. This is the most attended event we have all year, hope to see you there!
I want to share a semester update of how we have spent our Bulldog Blitz Funds so far this year:
Library Refurb Update- $32,000
We are able to purchase enough tables and chairs for up to 60 students, 3 classes, to learn in the library. We were also able to update our circulation desk! *See pictures below for the mock-ups and furniture design. Expecting to be here soon!
Teaching Resource Subscriptions- $6,000
No Red Ink for 5th Grade (Grammer/Editing Resource)
Story Works for 4th (Scholastic Reading Resources for all genres)
Whole School Brain Pop (targeted videos by TEKS, highly engaging and relatable)
YES Money for Teachers- $3,000
Items for new teachers to Beck
Resources for PE Units
Supplemental resources to accompany grade-level units
We still have money left, but have utilized the money our students and families have raised to provide the best environments and learning experiences we could offer our students. Thank you!

With the Winter weather upon us, this is a reminder of our outside weather guidelines. Please ensure students are dressed appropriately for the temperatures.

Reminders of Traffic Flow Expectations in the morning
Depending on which direction you approach Beck on Parkview Lane will determine which entrance you take to drop off your child.
If you are driving South on Parkview from Bobcat Blvd, you will enter Beck at our first entrance at the North side of the school (this is where we have always entered for arrivals/dismissals). You will also be directed to exit the parking lot going North on Parkview as well so we can manage traffic best.
If you approach Beck coming North on Parkview from Durango, you will be directed to enter the middle entrance. When exiting, you will be directed to go South on Parkview, again to help us manage traffic.
NOTE- Staff will not open car doors. We are trademarking this, "Kiss and Go!" Staff will be dispersed along the sidewalks and entrances to support students and monitor safety measures. If your child needs help, we will absolutely help, however we are asking for your children to be independent and ready to go when exiting your vehicles.

We ask that visitors sign up prior to arriving at school for lunch.
Visitors/Parents must sit at the tables on the Stage and may only have their child eating with them, no friends are permitted to join.
