We have moved in to the 2nd semester with great intentionality. As our last middle of year assessments have wrapped up, I am excited to share our Beck students are doing incredible. I am so proud of our students and of course our teachers. We are always a top 3 performing school in the district on all benchmarks, as was the case in the middle of year assessments. We just wrapped up our MAP assessments last week that our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders all take. The assessment is one that provided us district comparisons but also national comparisons. From a national perspective, each of the 4 grades that are tested are in the 96th percentile of achievement and above! Also, our comparisons across national schools rank in the 90th percentile and above. In Kindergarten and 1st grade, our students took the mClass assessment, here also, we are leading the district in reading skills and meeting growth goals.

I know that you see evidence of this achievement in the work your students share with you and skills you see your students growing in. I hope that you may also see from the comparison perspective that Beck continues to be purposeful in our practice and that our students are learning skills that enable them to be high achievers both district wide and nationally!
