Happy Friday Intermediate Families.  It is that time of year when we start approaching the PSSAs and all of the spring activities that follow.  Our BOBCATS are up to the challenge.  Please read all of the exciting things that are taking place in the upcoming weeks. Have a great weekend.

Student Senate Spring Fling Dance:  The SFI student senate is sponsoring a Spring Fling Dance on April 26th from 6:00-8:00 PM in the gymnasium.

SFI Spring Fling Volunteers:

Our Student Senate is holding a Spring Fling on April 26th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. To make this event run smoothly we need parent and staff volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form.

Fighting Gracefully Shirts:   Grace Collier, one of our 6th grade students, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.  If you know Grace, she is a bright, kind and overall happy kiddo that we all love.   We have designated every Tuesday as purple day…Grace’s favorite color.   Please send your students to school wearing purple, every Tuesday, in support of Grace.

Grace’s teachers and fellow students also created a Fighting Grace-Fully shirt design.   Shirts may be ordered and purchased in the link below.  All proceeds will be used to help Grace and her family as they battle this disease.

FREE Parenting Classes:

The York Children's Advocacy Center is offering parenting classes free of charge.  Please see the flyer HERE.

SFI PTO Information: 

• Mini-Fiesta with Moe's Popup: Attention friends, family, neighbors, and local Queso lovers! How about a night off from cooking dinner while supporting SFI PTO? We are hosting a Moe's Popup on Tuesday, April 30th. These take-home family fajitas kits are ready to eat, plus for every kit sold, $12 is donated to Spring Forge PTO. The Meal Kits feed 4-6, come with all the fixings to make up to 12 fajitas, and are $48.00(+tax). 

  • How to Order: 

    • 1. Place your order by 1:00pm on Monday, April 29th. Fill out this form to submit your order: HERE

    • 2. Pick up will be at 100 S Hartman St, Manchester, PA 17345 between 5:30-6:00pm on Tuesday, April 30th. 

    • We invite you to stay to eat, make a piñata, and watch the movie Vivo. 

    • You do not have to have an SFI student to purchase a kit. Anyone in the community can purchase and pick up a meal kit to go.

    • SFI families- You do not need to purchase a meal kit to be able to join in the other mini-fiesta activities! Just let us know to expect you! You may RSVP to the fiesta online here: HERE

• BuyOneGetOne Bookfair: Our final book fair of the year is 5/6-5/10 during lunch/recess and karaoke night. We hold two profit fairs a year so that we can earn this special deal for our SFI families. Everything is buy one get one of equal or lesser value. Volunteers are needed to help students get the most bang for their buck, to encourage them to choose similarly priced items. 

  • All time slots DURING school hours require district approved volunteers.

• Tissues Needed: Allergy season is upon us and SFI has run out of all the tissues from last year’s tissue drive. Can we collect 350 boxes by May 10th to earn a reward? You can send them in with your student. Thank you!
