Happy Friday Bobcats! Intermediate Bobcats worked hard to finish up their STAR benchmarks this week. Also, our teachers and families were able to connect this week during our Family Engagement Conferences on Wednesday and Thursday to discuss their student’s progress, areas for growth, and accomplishments. On Friday our students enjoyed a break from school as our staff and teachers received professional development. Have a great weekend Bobcats!

A Spring Note From Your Intermediate School Health Room:
Attention Parents/Guardians:
As we enter into March we see weather changes and allergy season beginning. Here are just a few reminders to keep your student in school and learning:
If your child has seasonal allergies, asthma or both, please be sure to provide the Nurse with the medications your child needs to battle the seasonal changes. Medication Authorization forms can be found at Nebobcats.org. Go to the parent portal drop-down: choose “Medical paperwork and forms”.
Water is the best option for minor dry coughing. Water bottles are recommended for the school day to keep your student well hydrated.
Your child may bring in a small daily supply of cough drops to be distributed by the nurse. Please provide a parent note with the small supply and remind your child that cough drops may not be shared.
Playgrounds will become muddy. Please provide a change of clothing in your child’s backpack for these occasional needs. Our health rooms do have some clothing, but your child is likely to prefer their own. And as always, watch the weather and encourage your child to dress appropriately.
As students will spend more time playing outside this Spring, it is important to think about their footwear. Sneakers with tie laces, provide support and prevent playground slips and falls.
Sunscreen is permitted if it is non-aerosol. Please see the link for the parent form to be completed prior to providing sunscreen for your child to use at school Non-Aerosol Topical Sunscreen Use .
Parent University
Our next session is extremely relevant to any parent, especially of intermediate aged students. It will focus on the ways that we can help keep our Bobcats safe while they are online and using their technology (cell phones and other items). Please considere attending! It will be held on March 24th at 6:00 in the high school auditorium.
