Gymnastics

Kylee Draper graduated from Payson High School in 2004. Through her years of tireless work and relentless pursuit of excellence, she excelled in gymnastics. As a sophomore in high school, she was the state champion (level 9) in the Vault, the Beam, and the All Around. As a senior, she took 2nd place in the state in the All Around (level 10), and went on to take 3rd place in the Vault at the Regional Championships (Level 10) in the region that includes all of California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

After graduating from Payson High School with high honors in 2004, Kylee was awarded a full ride gymnastics scholarship to Brigham Young University where she competed from 2005 to 2008. In 2005 she competed in Bars and then from 2006 to 2008 she competed in Vault, Bars, and Beam. One highlight of her collegiate career was in 2005 when she and her BYU team finished in 11th place in the NCAA National Championships. While at BYU, she was recognized three times by her team with the "Cougar of the Meet" (MVP) Award, in 2006 for their meet against Southern Utah University, in 2007 for their meet against Texas, and in 2008 for their meet against Utah State University and the University of New Hampshire. Her career high scores include 9.850 on Floor, 9.800 on Beam, and 9.875 on Bar. She also graduated from BYU with high honors with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

After retiring from competition, Kylee became a highly successful gymnastics club coach. She has coached many athletes who became state, regional, and national champions and who have gone on to have successful collegiate gymnastics careers.
