Co-Founder of Payson Community Theater

PHS Class of 1952

Doris Gasser is a product of Payson Schools, graduating from PHS in the class of 1952. She was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice. She considered it a gift meant to bless others. As such, she shared it in countless musicals, programs, and funerals. In 1968 four high school students approached Doris and Marian Wilson and together they founded what would become Payson Community Theater. Doris directed their very first play, a production of “Little Mary Sunshine.” Over the years, PCT has grown to become a premier, award winning, local theater organization.

Payson Community Theater has blessed the lives of countless people, bringing high quality performing arts to the Payson area. Thousands of people have had the privilege of developing their artistic talents by performing with PCT. And tens of thousands of people have had their lives enriched by enjoying the arts from the audience.
