There are various types of Master's programs, including:
Professional Skills Master's
For example, the M.S. MedTech Program in the Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is an 11-month program for students interested in acquiring the skills necessary to lead biomedical-related early-stage ventures or to drive new product development in healthcare industries.
Accelerated Bachelor's Master's (ABM)
For example, the NC State Electrical and Computer Engineering ABM allows undergraduate students to double count up to 12 graduate-level credits, shortening the timeline to obtain a master's degree.
Thesis and Non-Thesis Masters
Some master's programs require students to complete a thesis, and others do not.
