Gateway Electives

BME students complete any three Gateway Electives (eight offered), typically during junior year. 

Select Gateways based on the Specialization Area(s) that interest you; Gateways are pre-reqs to many Specialty Electives that students take as seniors. Recommended Gateways for each Specialization Area are shown in the green area of the chart below.

For the Gateways you are interested in, complete the corresponding pre-reqs (Differential Equations, Organic Chemistry, etc) in advance of the semester the Gateway is offered.
