Co-ops offer students the opportunity to gain hands-on job experience while pursuing their degree.
What is the difference between a co-op and an internship? (source)
Co-op opportunities are multi-semester work experiences with the same employer. Co-op students typically alternate semesters of full-time work with full-time study. Internships are usually one semester work experiences, most often in the summer, and/or part-time throughout the fall and spring terms.
When to Co-Op?
Students alternate semesters of studying and working, for one to three alternating semesters. Co-op may delay graduation. Suggested co-op schedules are posted here.
