If you meet the prerequisites and restrictions but can't enroll in a course, contact the department offering that course. This page contains helpful links, email addresses and forms to help to enroll in courses from other departments, including the Math, Physics and Chemistry departments. For all other enrollment requests, contact the department that offers the course. We cannot manually enroll students in non-BME courses.
If your preferred class or section is full, use MyPack Enrollment Wizard's Swap to Waitlist feature. This keeps you enrolled in your current class until a seat becomes available in your preferred one. Example: You’re in PY 208-002 but prefer PY 208-001. Swap to Waitlist ensures you stay in 002 until a spot opens in 001. Watch how it works!
Always enroll in available sections; you can make adjustments later.
Join a waitlist when possible—waitlisted students get priority when seats open.
You cannot enroll in more than 18 hours including waitlisted courses.
Before billing, enroll in 12+ credit hours that count toward your major/minor to maintain full-time status. Financial Aid and Scholarships require 12+ credit hours counting toward your major/minor. If unsure about your enrollment status, check with your financial aid counselor.
"CLOSED" means a class and its waitlist are full. Revisit MyPack Enrollment Wizard to check for openings. Enrollment is very dynamic and spots might open up!

PHI 325, Biomedical Ethics, is a BME requirement to complete anytime before graduating. This course also satisfies one GEP requirement - Interdisciplinary Perspectives(IP) GEP or Humanities(HUM) GEP requirement, but not both.
Currently in MyPack's Degree Audit, PHI 325 is locked into fulfilling IP. If you would like this switched to HUM (and the other HUM GEP course you've taken is not a Philosophy course), once you have completed a different IP course, let your advisor know and they can shift PHI 325 from IP to HUM within the Degree Audit.
As a reminder, BME students need 5 IP and 6 HUM GEP credits to graduate. E102 satisfies 2 IP credits.
Perhaps your STEM elective or Specialty elective isn’t appearing in the correct location in your MyPack Degree Audit. The BME Advising Team will fix these inconsistencies at least one semester prior to graduation (unless there is a reason such as financial aid or other scholarships). If this happens to you, please email your advisor and they will fix it within MyPack.
Two credit hours of HES courses are required. One credit hour must be from an HES 100 level course. The other can be from this list of courses.
If all HES class are full, you can attend the first day and see if the instructor is able to add you to the class. Classes that utilize equipment are LESS likely to add additional students. HESF 101, HESF 102, HESF 105 and HESF 113 are good choices for students hoping to get an extra seat. Note that reserved seats that have a credit-hour restriction will likely not be lifted.
Also, consider taking these courses for credit only instead of for a grade. The course will not count toward your GPA and in order to receive a Satisfactory (passing) grade, the equivalent of a C- or better is required. To make this change, in MyPackPortal > Planning and Enrollment > Enrollment Wizard > My Schedule, there should be a Edit section by your HES class with a Pencil Icon. Click that to change it to Pass/Fail.
