1.4.4.2 Portable & Fixed nodes
This section explains the equipments, specifications and features, used to build an AERPAW Portable Radio Node (APRN) and a AERPAW Fixed node (AFN) for Ericsson network based experiments.
Portable Nodes
Ericsson 5G experiments use Small Portable Node SPN for now. Two Types of APRNs are planned for Ericsson network-based experiments

Quectel modem based SPN
A Quectel modem based SPN shall include
Quectel 5G modem for AERPAW 5G network
AT&T 5G modem
LattePanda single board computer
5G signal Radio logging on the Quectel modem is through AT commands from the LattePanda. Please refer to the Quectel modem AT Commands Manual for details on the AT commands used to log the radio parameters.
Andrioid (Samsung) device based SPN
Samsung device based SPN shall include
Samsung S21 for AERPAW 5G network
AT&T 5G modem
LattePanda single board computer
5G signal Radio logging on the Samsung device is through Pawprints (an AERPAW application) running on the LattePanda.
Fixed Nodes
AERPAW Fixed node (AFN) for Ericsson Experiment uses CC1 node that runs an EVM for the fixed node. Typically this fixed node is used to run applications for traffic like ping or iperf server.
