Community Service is our way of giving to the community. All students are required to complete 75 hours of community service in order to graduate from Dundalk High School. NJROTC cadets are required to complete 25 hours of community service in order to receive their ribbon. Every cadet is encouraged to participate in Community Service.
Cadets can earn hours by being part of the NJROTC Adopt-a-Road program, collecting toys during the Toys-for-Tots drive, working at the local food bank, visiting nursing homes, or through their church, to name a few.
If community service is done outside of the unit a form has to be signed by organization where the service was performed. Community service performed within the unit will be tracked by the Community Service Officer and entered into the cadets personal file in CDMIS.
Cadets can check with the Community Service Officer for unit opportunities.
