All cadets in the unit are required to follow NJROTC classroom rules:
1. Cadets will be on time for class.
2. All cadets must follow grooming standards (see below).
3. Cadets will answer saying "Yes Sir/Yes Ma'am or No Sir/No Ma'am.
4. Cadets will NOT use cell phones anytime in class (for texting or playing games) except as authorized for assignments.
5. Cadets will address instructors with their appropriate title.
6. Eating, drinking and chewing gum are not allowed in class.
7. Cadets must bring pens/pencils and notebook paper to class each day.
All required materials are issued to NJROTC cadets at no cost (uniforms & textbooks). Uniform maintenance items are the responsibility of the cadet (i.e., wash/ironing/dry-cleaning, black shoe polish and grooming).
Cadets are required to wear the uniform at least one day per week. Uniform day is Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the day class falls on A-day/B-day. This is a program requirement agreed to by the Baltimore County School Board and the Naval Service Training Command. This is a program requirement for all 583 NJROTC units globally.
