Special Programs

The Commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) desires to increase cadet safety awareness through Bullying/Harassment Prevention, Suicide Prevention, and Bystander Intervention within the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) and Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC).

All NJROTC and NNDCC units were directed to establish these programs beginning in school year 2014-15 and Senior Naval Science Instructors (SNSI) were directed to implement, support and operate said programs in coordination with their host school officials within their individual NJROTC/NNDCC units.

In addition, it was directed that the senior cadet leadership be actively involved in leading these programs as action officers. The Area Manager Inspection (AMI) has designated these programs as special interest items.
