Color Guard is one of the various teams associated with the drill team. The Color Guard Team consists of four to six members. Flags that are carried include our national colors, the Navy flag, the Maryland State flag and the Dundalk High School flag along with two cadets carrying rifles on either side of the flags.Â
Every NJROTC must have a Color Guard to represent their units both in competition and in the community. I addition to performing at drill meets, the team presents colors for organizations around the community such as sports events, community day parades, and serve as the introduction to most school events.
The Color Guard's role is more ceremonial that than of the drill team. It is the oldest and most traditional of all drill teams and is highly respected in the community. Cadets who like working with small groups while drilling at the same time would be a great asset for this team. Practices are held after school Monday-Thursday.
