Cadet Petty Officer 3rd Class Brayden McMillan was a highly motivated first-year cadet and was meritoriously promoted to Cadet Petty Officer 3rd Class.  Brayden strived to do his best in everything, especially when it came to NJROTC.  Brayden completed more than 80 hours of school support and more than 10 hours of community support.  Brayden participated in 39 separate NJROTC school and community service-related projects.  As a first-year cadet, Brayden competed for and earned the position of First Year Unarmed Regulation Drill Team Commander.  Brayden also was a guard for the First Year Competition Color Guard.  His NJROTC Awards consist of the Physical Fitness Ribbon with gold lamp and one bronze star in lieu of the 2nd award, the Participation Ribbon with three gold stars in lieu of the 13th award, the Unit Service Ribbon with three gold stars in lieu of the 8th award, the Community Service Ribbon, the Drill Team Ribbon, the Orienteering Ribbon with two bronze stars in lieu of the 3rd award, the Cadet Challenge Ribbon, the JCLC Ribbon, the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test Ribbon, the Flag Honor Guard Ribbon, the Raider Cup Decathlon Ribbon, the Summer Camp Ribbon, the Summer Camp Adventure Ribbon, and the WACKO Ribbon. Brayden’s medals consist of the Drill Team Medal, the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Medal, and the Summer Camp Honor Platoon Medal.  Brayden tragically lost his life on 10 January 2023.  Brayden is an inspiration to us all and has been sorely missed.
