Continuing education is key. I want to be able to bring the latest information and science of learning to my students. By using internet tools, I can stay up-to-date on research, what other schools are doing to be successful and new opportunities for students.

Click on the blue star to access PearlTrees. It is a source for collecting and curating reference material on current teaching practices and ideas for instruction. I have also collected information about the current laws and practices.

I also engage in professional growth by attending conferences, participating in the district Technology Committee and being the Lincoln Technology Mentor.

Primarily I am utilizing Blogger to transform student learning.
By blogging students are not only writing, but reading and responding to each other's posts.
In this way we are addressing digital age work and learning as well as promoting and modeling digital citizenship and responsibility.
I am maintaining a class blog through Blogger that I use to give students access to information and sample blog posts.
This is where students will post their question for their classmates to respond to Through Blogger they will share information and journal their experiences. We are beginning to understand digital privacy and a digital footprint by clearly and frequently, discussing and practicing good digital citizenship and safety.
Before students begin their technology lessons we review student safety and digital citizenship and responsibility using several district adopted programs.
