Energize Colleges was launched by Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) in 2016. The program supports a network of California colleges and universities to advance energy and sustainability education and workforce development through experiential learning. Energize Colleges is a vehicle for creating a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient future by training the engineers, analysts, building scientists, policy-makers, and entrepreneurs who will lead the transformation to a clean energy future.

All Energize Colleges internships will consist of the following:
Pay $16.00/hr
75 total project hours
Take place remotely
Work experience in sustainability & energy-related fields
Start-of-program orientation, regular one-on-one internship support, and personalized career guidance throughout program period
Opportunities for professional development & meeting with SMCCCD’s Sustainability Team
Program requirements for all applicants:
Be a currently enrolled student at Skyline College, College of San Mateo, or Cañada College
Be able to commit to 75 project hours
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
Have an interest in learning about sustainability!
