Cañada College lags far behind in gas reduction.

Cañada College leads the District in reducing its electricity consumption, largely due to its 1.25 MW solar installation in 2015.

Districtwide

District gas consumption has increased 16% since 2013.

District consumption has increaeed 1% since 2013.

Cañada College

Cañada's gas consumption has increased 97% since 2013.

Cañada's electricity consumption has decreased 15% since 2013.

College of San Mateo

College of San Mateo's gas consumption has increased 3% since 2013.

College of San Mateo's electricity consumption has increased 4% since 2013.

Skyline College

Skyline's gas consumption has increased 4% since 2013.

Skyline's electricity consumption has increased 6% since 2013.

On-Site Renewable Energy Production Vs. District Energy Consumption

As of the end of 2021, Cañada College is the only District campus with a solar field (1.25 MW). In 2021, the Cañada College solar field offset:

51% of Cañada's delivered electricity
15% of the District's delivered electricity
20% of Cañada's total energy consumption (i.e. natural gas and electricity)
5% of the District's total energy consumption (i.e. natural gas and electricity)
