SMCCCD's nine sustainability programs were formed by the District-wide and campus sustainability committees. Each of these programs is driven to accomplish social equity and environmental justice, which are realized by employing an integrated, interdisciplinary, and active learning method referred to as Campus as a Living Laboratory. The result is engagement, empowerment, and enrichment.
